Puppy Training with Black Belt Canine Academy

PUPPY TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
With over two decades of experience in the pet training industry, Black Belt Canine Academy has helped hundreds of pets and their owners with puppy training. Although obedience training doesn’t usually begin until around six months old, puppy training can start as early as 3 months old. To be clear, puppy training and basic obedience training are different; puppy training is about teaching our pets to live in harmony with fellow pack members at the home. While obedience training teaches our furry friends a variety of new skills to be utilized predominantly outside the home.

POTTY TRAINING
Our team of expert trainers have undergone extensive training themselves and have a deep understanding of animal behavior. They use positive reinforcement techniques to ensure your pet is happy and healthy while learning new skills.

socializing
Life is easier when your dog can get along with other dogs. Like people, some dogs are good at getting along with others, while some dogs require more direction to get good at socializing. Puppyhood is the perfect time to teach our dogs what behavior is expected from us as pet owners, as well as developing the emotional stability needed to perform those actions.

Rules and Boundaries
Every puppy will test your rules and boundaries- no exceptions. So lets minimize the number of mistakes and make sure that we learn from our mistakes as they happen. Our goal is to make sure that your puppy’s learning curve is as short and graceful as possible- this way you and your family can have the best quality of life with your new pets.

Walking
The most frequent request we get is; “how do I get my dog to not pull on the leash?” Not only does our puppy course answer this question, but we will teach it to your dog along with a few other skills that are sure to make your life easy for the next 10 years.
