Behavior Modification

The art of remediation

At Black Belt Canine Academy, we understand that not every dog needs to go through obedience training. Sometimes the owner just needs some help to get their dog back on the righteous path. Behavior modification is the methodology to remove those behaviors which our pets should never have started.

What behaviors can we help reform?

There are too many behaviors to list to them all, but a few of the popular issues we have helped our customers work through would include:

  1. Pulling on the leash
  2. Barking
  3. Stealing food
  4. Running away
  5. Blowing through doors
  6. Chewing personal property
  7. Jumping
  8. Destruction of landscape
  9. Digging
  10. Whining

WHAT DOES OUR BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION LOOK LIKE?

Behavior modification is the ideal training package for our clients who just need to “iron out a few wrinkles”. This dog training package includes multiple home training sessions, complete with notes, all customized to fit your needs.

You will start seeing results on the first day, and our system is always developed to fit your personal needs, so that your results will last.

Unlike training, behavior modification usually does not involve the leash training utilized in obedience training. So, this approach is really about knowing how to respond to situations the right way. Furthermore, we know that there can be multiple “right ways” which is why we are going to ensure you get the optimal way, which will compliment your complete family picture.
